The Business Network, celebrating 24 years of making corporate connections in the UK, will launch in Brighton under the management of hosts Kris Andrew and Mary McCrea
Senior business decision makers are being invited to the inaugural meeting of The Business Network Brighton on Wednesday 11th October 2017 at the Hotel du Vin in Ship Street, Brighton. The event is open to business leaders, entrepreneurs of growing companies and directors of professional service firms based in and around Brighton and the wider Sussex region. The network is open to the business community within the Brighton and Redhill catchment areas and beyond.
With career backgrounds in HR and Organisational Development, Kris and Mary have learnt the value of building strong and mutually beneficial relationships. Research shows that carefully planned networking is a key factor in the success of fast growth companies as they thrive on new knowledge and others’ expertise. The Business Network, of which Brighton is the newest group, runs monthly lunchtime events designed to create every opportunity for building close working links and establishing a valuable support network of contacts.
Kris Andrew says: “Both Mary and I have a strong desire to help support and grow true authenticity in all our interactions with people, and we believe through The Business Network we will help influence decision-makers to create and nurture these kinds of relationships. We want to focus on the individual and not just the business they are offering.”
Mary adds: “This part of the south east has so much potential for business growth. Brighton itself is a thriving creative and cosmopolitan centre where people are open to change and progressive ideas. We want to encourage business leaders from across the area to come and experience the wide range of perspectives and views of fellow members.”
Kris and Mary’s roles will be to implement the structured, focussed and professional format which has generated tens of millions of pounds worth of business for members across the 18 associated Networks. They will organise and host the monthly seminars and lunches, keep members informed of business opportunities and, if requested, find new contacts in specific sectors.
Owner of The Business Network, Helen Bennett comments: “Both Kris and Mary believe in the power of connectedness, and this fits well with our organisation’s ethos. We are delighted that they have chosen to launch a network in this exciting part of the UK, and will be supporting them from launch as the membership grows.”
The event at the Hotel du Vin will start with an optional seminar at 9:30am ‘How to Become a More Confident and Effective Networker’ by expert Will Kintish who will give best practice tips on the art of networking.
Following the seminar, guests will gather at 11:45am for a drinks reception and a two-course lunch, during and after which they will have a chance to speak to other delegates until the 2:00pm finish.
Tickets are £42.50 per person with a percentage of the launch event profit going to Marie Curie.
