The Brighton and Hove Business Awards hosted a wide range of categories, from Best Customer Service to the Best
Creative Industry…

Koru’s Director, Mark Pellant was joined by Architect, Issi Rousseva for the tropical-themed night. The Creative Industries Award finalists consisted of Koru Architects, Cobb Digital and Ticketmedia. The Hove based, green focused architectural firm have been working on multiple projects outside of their normal practice work. PassivPod is a joint venture between Koru Architects and Clive
Bonny from Strategic Management Partners and is their most developed project to date, a unique, ellipsoid building design that tackles major social and environmental issues. Other projects include the Solar Canopy, in collaboration with the University of Brighton and Kayla Ente from BHESCO and an Inflatable Tent.

In the beautiful setting of Proud Country House, an abundance of exciting, local businesses, as well as MPs from Hove and Pavilion including Caroline Lucas, the city Mayor, Councillor Mo Marsh, and Leader of the Council, Warren Morgan gathered to celebrate their success. Being one of the first awards announced on the night, we are delighted to have won the Creative Industries Award!

“It’s great to have the recognition from the city’s business leaders and to know that our efforts to innovate and promote
environmental sustainability are valued.” – Issi Rousseva, Architect

“Our success was a team effort and we are grateful to our collaborators: BHESCO, the Brighton University Product Lab
and the Green Growth Platform. Receiving this award will help our business to raise further funds which will enable our
exciting innovations, such as the PassivPod or the solar canopy to become a reality sooner rather than later.” – Mark Pellant, Director
